Recycle Week is just around the corner (22 -- 28 June) and in preparation I've taken a pledge to compost all my kitchen waste. And if I don't, I'll be made to make the office tea for a whole week!
You can take one too, just go to the web site and pick from some of the pledges. You can promise to re-use your carrier bags, recycle your newspapers and magazine or go waste-free for an entire day. After you make your pledge the site tells you a little more about the benefits of what you have promised to do, and you can then tell the world via Twitter, Facebook, etc.
It's a fun site and a nice way to get everyone involved in a good cause. So what are you waiting for?
