It doesn't take a rocket scientist to predict that during a recession there will be a huge rise in applications for the scant available opportunities. Even The Times have written about it.
This is especially true in graduate recruitment. Many of last year's graduates didn't get their dream job and are still searching.
PriceWaterhouseCoopers has seen a 50 percent increase in applications for it's 1,000 graduate and intern positions and Aldi has already received 4,000 applications for about 150 graduate places.
The higher number of applicants means that qualifications are key. But how does one manage this process without letting the really good candidates fall through the cracks?
Our suggestion of course is to use an eRecruitment solution so you can keep on top of all activity. An eRecruitment solution can help you to gain control over the recruitment process, and to be more efficient, saving time and money. It's true, ask our customers, I'm not making this stuff up!
